The Climate Leadership Initiative is a research and technical assistance collaboration between the University of Oregon Institute for a Sustainable Environment and The Resource Innovation Group. Graduate students, as well as faculty and staff from the University of Oregon and other academic institutions are involved in CLI projects.

Both the scope of the anticipated changes to the physical environment and the adjustments that society will have to make due to climate change are imminent and unprecedented. Despite the serious risks described by scientists, few state or local governments, private firms, or non-profits have adopted climate mitigation or adaptation action plans. CLI seeks to help decision makers understand these risks and develop economically and socially efficient and effective policies and programs to address them.

CLI is funded by fee-for-service contracts, foundation grants, and private donors.  Please contact our staff if you would like more information about to contract with CLI for a project or how to contribute financially.
